A tidy counseling office corner featuring a plush, slate-blue armchair beside a small, light-wood side table holding a ceramic mug and a closed linen-bound journal, no people present. The space is framed by a large window with sheer white curtains, overlooking soft-focus greenery outside. Gentle afternoon natural light diffuses across the room, creating soft shadows on the warm oak floor and a calm, inviting glow. Shot at eye-level with a slightly off-center composition and shallow depth of field, the background bookshelves blur into warm, neutral tones. Photographic realism with a clean, modern aesthetic that conveys safety, professionalism, and emotional warmth suitable for a Portland counseling practice.

Services

A minimalist therapist’s desk setup with a smooth, pale birch surface holding a small stack of neatly arranged assessment forms, a matte black pen, and a simple sand timer halfway through its flow, distinctly no people in view. Behind the desk, a soft-focus wall displays framed, abstract nature-inspired artwork in muted blues and greens. Soft, overcast daylight from an unseen window casts even, gentle illumination, eliminating harsh shadows and enhancing clarity. Photographed from a slightly elevated angle with sharp focus throughout, the composition emphasizes order, reliability, and calm. The photographic style is clean and professional, ideal for conveying structure, ethics, and trust in a mental health counseling setting.

Individual counseling for adults navigating anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, and major life transitions in Portland.

A serene Portland cityscape seen through the tall windows of a quiet counseling office, with raindrops gently streaking down the glass, no people in sight. In the foreground, the sill holds a neatly arranged trio of small, low-maintenance plants in matte ceramic planters and a softly burning soy candle in a frosted glass jar. Overcast natural light fills the space with a cool, diffused brightness, reflecting off the damp city outside while creating subtle reflections on the windowpane. Shot from inside at eye level, focusing on the plants with the city softly blurred, the composition feels contemplative and grounded. Photographic realism with a calm, reflective mood, evoking resilience and gentle introspection typical of Portland’s rainy seasons.

Pricing

Standard Session

My standard fee is $150 for a 50-minute individual session. I reserve a limited number of sliding-scale spots based on financial need, with rates typically ranging from $90–$140 per session. Sliding-scale openings are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and may involve a brief conversation about what feels sustainable for you. I am currently a Professional Counselor Associate in NE Portland, which means my services are often more affordable than fully licensed providers while still being closely supervised for quality of care.

Extended Session

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Many clients choose to pay out of pocket and, if they have out-of-network benefits, submit a monthly superbill I provide to seek partial reimbursement from their insurance company. Payment is due at the time of each session and can be made by debit or credit card, HSA/FSA card, or secure online payment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full session fee.
